leben - live - vivre: Schöne Zeit - Beautiful times

Mein englisches Leben hier geht weiter. Englisch sprechen, Aufsätze wiederholen und an den Wochenenden etwas unternehmen. Seit dem 16.10. war Neil’s Mutter hier. Sie ist eine taffe, witzige und unglaublich nett Frau und wohnt in Kingsbridge, wo ich sie wahrscheinlich mal besuchen werde. Letztes Wochenende planten Giulia und ich unseren Kurzurlaub für nächste Woche – die Ferien haben jetzt nämlich begonnen. Es geht nach Bath und Bristol – mehr Details gibt es dann mit dem nächsten Eintrag. Wir hatten also nicht viel Zeit für andere Dinge, sind nur nochmal zum Watcombe Strand, der hier ganz in der Nähe ist, gegangen. Am Sonntag gingen wir ins Stadtzentrum, aber nur um nötige Dinge zu besorgen. Also ein sehr entspanntes Wochenende (manch einer würde es vielleicht langweilig nennen, aber ich fand es einfach angenehm ruhig). Die Wochen sind generell ziemlich ereignislos. Abgesehen mal davon, dass ich den Unterricht hier wirklich interessant finde. Ich glaube das liegt zu einem großen Teil auch daran, dass wirklich alle Lehrer in ihrem Inneren begeistert von ihrem Fach sind – und das auf die ein oder andere Art auch zeigen. Das macht es teilweise spaßig, auf jeden Fall lebendig und immer interessant. Auch wenn das Niveau oft etwas niedriger ist als in Deutschland (soweit ich das beurteilen kann). Gestern wollten wir mit der Fähre nach Dartmouth fahren, aber wegen des Wetters (obwohl es eigentlich ziemlich gut war -.-) sind keine Schiffe gefahren. Also haben wir nur unsere Zugtickets von der Station geholt und sind mal wieder durch die Stadt gebummelt. Heut e haben wir vor allem Sachen gepackt. Was für eine schöne Zeit.

My english life in continuing. Speaking English, redoing essays and doing something on the weekends. Neil’s mother had been here since 16.10. . She is a tough, funny and really kind woman and lives in Kingsbridge where I will probably visit her during my year in Torquay. Last weekend, Giulia and me were planning our short trip next week – because the holidays just started. We will go to Bath and Bristol – more details will follow in the next entry. So we did not have much time for other things, we just walked down to the Watcombe Beach that is very close. We went to the town centre to buy some necessary things on Sunday. Again, it was a relaxed weekend (some people would call it boring, but I found it pleasantly quiet). Aside from finding the lessons here really interesting, the weeks are generally quite uneventful. I think the reason is that all teachers are enthusiastic about their subject – and show this by some means or other. This makes the lessons partly funny, in any case lively and always interesting. The level is often lower than in Germany, though (as far as I can tell). Yesterday, we intended to go by ferry to Dartmouth, but there were no sailings because of the weather (although it was pretty good -.-). So we just picked up our train tickets for tomorrow from the station and strolled in the city. Today we were mainly packing. What a beautiful time.

Ma vie anglaise continue. Parler en anglais, répéter des rédactions et faire des autres choses pendant les week-ends. La mère de Neil était ici depuis le 16.10. . Elle est vigoureuse, drôle et vraiment gentille et elle vit à Kingsbridge. Probablement, je vais la voir là. Le week-end dernier, Giulia et moi nous avons organisé un voyage – parce que les vacances commencent demain. On va aller à Bath et Bristol - les détails vont suivre dans la prochaine inscription après le voyage. Alors, on n’a pas eu beaucoup de temps pour faire des autres chose, on est seulement allées à la plage Watcombe qui est très près. Dimanche, nous sommes allées au centre-ville pour acheter des trucs nécessaires. C’était un week-end très relaxé, encore une fois (certains peut-être trouvent ca ennuyant, mais moi, je trouve ca plaisant). Sans parler de trouves les leçons intéressant, les semaines sont relativement calmes. Je pense que les cours sont intéressants parce que les professeurs sont passionnés et montrent ca avec des modes différents. A cause de ca, les cours sont partiels amusants, en tout cas vivants et toujours intéressant. Tout en sachant que le niveau est moins haut qu’à l’Allemagne (à mon avis). Hier, Giulia et moi voulaient aller à Dartmouth mais les ferrys ne sont pas parti à cause du temps (mais il faisait beau -.-). Ainsi, on est seulement allées chercher nos tickets du train pour demain. Puis, nous sommes nous baladées dans la cité. Aujourd’hui on a fait les valises. Quel beau temps.
